My Client is one of the largest international, multi-discipline engineering and building consultancies with offices in South Africa and elsewhere. They are now seeking a CAD Operator (Senior) for their office in Johannesburg, South Africa. Minimum requirements: Proficient in AutoCAD 2008. At least 5 years experience. Must be familiar with the field of Civil Engineering drawings, i.e. water and sewer reticulation layouts, longitudinal sections and associated typical details. Must be able to prepare drawing register, issue drawings, manage and control drawings on the central server. Ability to work efficiently with limited supervision. Knowledge of Civil Designer will be an added advantage. All applicants with a South African Visa will be considered, with the understanding that preference will be given to South Africans. Depending on South African permanent residency status, the position can either be permanent or contract. A suitable salary and fringe benefits, commensurate with skills and career history, will be negotiated with the successful applicant.
