My client is one of the UK's largest and most diverse multidisciplinary consultancies in the UK. They now require a MEP Resident Engineer to work on a large Airport Project in Libya. You will be reviewing and dealing with Construction Design Drawings and Calculations and reviewing the proposals for Suppliers and Subcontractors and the preparation of recommendations to the Client. You will also be dealing with Method Statements and the supervision of MEP works on site, the supervision of commissioning of MEP systems and the supervision of MEP Inspectors and Clerks of Works. You will also be dealing with the training and development of locally recruited site staff, liaising with Client’s and site staff. You will be dealing with the electrical, mechanical and plumbing systems including lifts, escalators and baggage handling. You will have gained experience of HVAC (Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning Systems) for major building projects in the Middle East or North Africa, experience of SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) and BMS (Building Management Systems) for major building projects; LV (Low Voltage) electrical systems and MV (Medium Voltage) electrical systems. You will ideally be degree qualified in a relevant discipline and ideally hold a membership of a relevant professional body. This project is to run for two to three years and you will ideally have a minimum of ten years experience
