I am seeking an Associate Quantity Surveyor who is MRICS to join a firm of PQS in central London to work on high value projects for developers, owners, occupiers, investors and more including large scale mixed use projects, urban development masterplans and more.
A background of working for a PQS or multi disciplinary consultants is essential. Salary very negotiable.
Our client is a successful and large firm of consultants offering clients quantity surveying and project management services.
They are working on a good range of projects in the public and private sectors.
They have offices across the UK and some overseas too.
I am now seeking an Associate Quantity Surveyor with around six years or more experience of working for a PQS and you should be MRICS qualified.
You will report to a Partner and be part of a team who work on high value projects in the private sector for developers, owner occupiers, investors etc. Projects are varied including large scale mixed use developments plus urban development masterplans and projects are in the UK and in Europe.
You will need to have a good Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying or similar plus be MRICS qualified and you should have worked for another firm of private practice quantity surveyors or multi disciplinary consultants.
You will be involved in both Pre and Post Contract duties on a number of projects including cost planning, tendering, site valuations, cost reporting, cost management and agreement of final accounts.
You will be involved in the full project process from initial client engagement through to project delivery.
You will ideally have some experience of managing a small team of graduates, assistants, senior QS’s.
It is essential that you have excellent communication skills as you will deal directly with clients, motivate your team etc.
Salary will be in the region of £60000 to £75000 plus pension contribution, RICS fees and other benefits.
