I am now seeking CIVIL ENGINEERING DESIGN TECHNICIANS at all levels to join a firm of consulting engineers based in their Derby office.
You should have two years or more post diploma experience as a technician and you may be working towards Incorporated Status or be already Incorporated with ICE.
Experience in the design of Highways, Roads and Drainage essential and experience of using AutoCAD.
Great prospects as this medium sized firm is expanding.
Our client is a medium sized firm of civil, structural and geotechnical consulting engineers.
They are working on high value projects including industrial, education, residential, commercial and more.
Currently they have two offices in the UK.
You will be a Diploma qualified Civil Engineering Technician with at least two years or more experience working for a firm of consulting engineers.
You will have experience of highways, roads, drainage projects and possibly also flood risk etc.
Ideally you will have gained varied project experience as my client works on highways, local roads etc. for residential developments, industrial developments, retail and more.
You will be familiar with common highway and drainage sections agreements including S78, S278, S104 and S185.
You will ideally have some experience in the use of WinDes and ideally Civils 3D. If you have only used PDS you will still be considered.
You will need to have experience of complex S278 design in particular at senior or principal level and have the ability to produce drainage strategies and zone 1FRAs ideally.
Experience of AutoCAD essential.
You should be able to work closely with the engineers and have good communication skills to deal with the professional team and clients and contractors as required.
Support given to become a fully Incorporated Member of the ICE if not already qualified.
£salary is very negotiable plus good pension contribution and other benefits.
