THE ROLE

A great opportunity for a CIVIL PROJECT ENGINEER for Highways, Drainage design, flood risk etc. to join my client, a large firm of consulting engineers in their CUMBRIA office.

You will work on the production of schematic / concept designs and design calculations and liaise with other construction consultants for the development of the designs.

You will do drainage and highway designs using WINDES Microdrainage, PDS and Civils 3D or similar design packages.

You will direct the technicians for the production of AutoCAD and Civils 3D drawing information.

You will also undertake Flood Risk Assessments and Drainage Strategies plus do reports, letters and other correspondence.

You will visit sites to inspect works and deal with site queries.

THE COMPANY

Our client is a successful firm of consulting engineers workng on civil, structural, geotechnical, transportation and highways projects.

They have a large number of offices.

They offer excellent ongoing training and CPD.

THE CANDIDATE

You will need to have an HNC / HND or Degree in Civil Engineering with several years or more experience of design experience of infrastructure projects which must include highways, drainage etc.

You will be almost chartered or already chartered or Incorporated i.e. IEng or CEng.

Good communication skills are essential to be able to deal with clients and the professional team. Also experience of liaising with the clients etc.

Salary is very negotiable according to your experience plus pension, life assurance and other benefits.
