Salary / Rate: £40000 to £70000 per annum, pension and other benefits
I am now seeking a number of Contracts Administrators / Quantity Surveyors at various levels including Assistant, Intermediate and Senior to join our client to work on an exciting range of projects based at their operation in West Sussex.
My client is a large airport operator who are upgrading, refurbishing and building new a range of projects including car parking, retail and more with a proposed £3bn spend.
As Contracts Administrator you will report to the Contracts manager and coordinate with the company Procurement Manager. You will work closely with the Cost Engineer / QS and Planner to maintain alignment between contract and business delivery objectives.
You will prepare bid tabulations justifying the selection of preferred bidder and prepar contract documents and manage the Contract award and execution process.
You will ensure that tenders, bids, evaluations of proposals, negotiation and award of contracts are performed in accordance with contract procedures.
You will administer contracts confirming compliance of the contractors / consultants, or taking actions to ensure compliance with the contract terms and conditions and alignment with agreed business deliverables.
You will manage and administer any changes and quality issues, through the Early Warning Notices and Compensation Events processes, including maintaining registers of all EWNs, NCEs and CEs.
You will issue correspondence reports showing both incoming and outgoing correspondence, actions required etc.
You will maintain Insurance records.
You will ensure that any additional work / cost and time change to the original scope is properly authorised in advance before issuing a change order etc.
You must have experience in a contract management or commercial role within the construction or infrastructure sectors working on projects of a similar scale and complexity.
You will ideally have gained experience of using web based contract manager tools e.g. Cemar or similar.
You will need to have a Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics or similar and you will ideally have membership of the RICS.
Salary for the right candidates in the region of £40,000 to £70,000 at senior level plus benefits.
