Salary / Rate: £75000 to £85000 per annum + car allowance, pension and more
My client now seeks a DIRECTOR OF COST & PROJECT MANAGEMENT to join their BIRMINGHAM office.
You will deliver high value, large scale projects for housing, commercial and education sector projects plus lead and grown a team.
An interest in business development and networking is essential.
My client is a large multi discipline firm of consultants working with public sector and private sector clients.
You will ideally be MRICS qualified with experience in both Quantity Surveying and Project Management.
You will have experience with another firm of construction consultants in delivering the full range of project management and cost management services.
You will be responsible for the Profit and Loss account for the Birmingham office including forecasting, billing and control of costs and revenue.
You will take the lead on client liaison and business development.
You will attend internal management meetings and monthly Business Development meetings.
You will lead the Birmingham team, do staff apprasisals and mentor and develop staff.
You will deal with compliance with internal governance requirments including Business Management Systems and monthly project financial reporting.
You will be responsible for the delivery of capital projects on time and to budget.
You will assist in the delivery of the Business Plan and drive forward initiatives to achieve those plans.
You will maintain close relationships with key existing clients and you will develop new client relationships.
You must have a strong track record in delivering large scale projects across the housing, commercial and education sectors and a reputation for building a network in the local market.
You must have good management skills and excellent client facing and client management skills.
You should have experience of negotiating appointment documentation, managing billings and controlling project resource.
Salary in the region of £75000 to £85000 plus car allowance, pension and other benefits.
