Salary / Rate: £25000 to £30000 per annum + pension, professional fees.
A great opportunity for a GRADUATE TRAFFIC & TRANSPORTATION ENGINEER with at least one year or more experience post graduation to join a top firm of consulting engineers in EDINBURGH.
You will work within a small team producing reports, technical notes and doing drawings, and undertaking modelling tasks.
You will be able to work on several projects at a time and work with a number of different clients.
Our client is a successful firm of consulting engineers workng on civl, structural, geotechnial, traffic & transportation and related services.
They have offices across the UK and are working with a good range of clients in the public and private sectors.
They offer excellent ongoing training and CPD and good training towards becoming chartered.
You must have a BSc or BSc Hons or MSc in Civil Engineering or Transportation Planning or you may have a post graduate qualification in Traffic or Transportation Planning.
You will need to have around one to three years work experience post graduation with another firm of engineers – ideally with consultants although someone from a contractors may be considered.
You will need to be competent in the preparation of Transport Assessments and Statements, Travel Plans and Technical Notes.
You will need to have experience in using CAD and AutoTrack, LINSIG and Junction 8, Paramics modelling, traffic network construction and the identification of mitigation solutions.
Some knowledge about DMRB, Designing Streets and National and Local Policy context.
Some experience required of Traffic and Transporation profession role in support of masterplanning, public consultation and liaison with public bodies.
Salary in the range of £25000 to £30000 per annum plus pension and professional fees.
