THE ROLE

I am now seeking a PARTNER BUILDING SURVEYOR to join my client in their BARNET, HERTFORDSHIRE office.

You will need experience of public sector housing projects, plus experience of managing a team and doing business development.

THE COMPANY

Our client is a firm of multi disciplinary construction and property consultants. They have several UK offices and provide services which include Building Surveying, Project Management, Employer’s Agent and also Quantity Surveying.

They are extremely busy and are expanding in particular across the London and M25 areas.

THE CANDIDATE

You will be an MRICS qualified Building Surveyor, who is ideally already working at Associate, Senior Associate or Partner level to join my client as a Partner.

You will be the second in charge in this office and will report to an Equity Partner.

You will need to have excellent technical skills and be self motivated with excellent client facing skills too.

You will be responsible for managing technical work and projects including liasing with clients, taking full responsibility for your projects and projects under your staff, programming of work and resources etc.

You will need broad based building surveying experience to including structural surveys, feasibility, contract administration, project management etc.

Previous experience of a range of building projects for public sector housing is essential in particular for Decent Homes.

You should have experience of the bid process and attending client interviews.

It is also essential that you have gained experience of business development and networking.

The preferred candidates will have worked for another firm of construction / property consultants.

Salary from around £70K to £90K, plus range of benefits which includes car allowance, pension contribution, professional fees etc.
