THE ROLE

A new opportunity for a CONSTRUCTION PLANNER / SCHEDULER to join my client in New Jersey, U.S.A. to become involved in doing delay analysis, forensic planning for construction and engineering claims and disputes etc.

THE CLIENT

My client is a specialist construction and engineering practice that provides construction and scheduling expertise to the international insurance and reinsurance markets. My clients’ services provide clarify to their clients when they are faced with high value construction claims that concern delay to construction acitivities as a result of an insured event. They are leaders in their area and known for the ability to pioneer powerful solutions that address the complex issues that impact insurance claims.

My client works on claims in the building construction, infrastructure, civil engineering, power and oil & gas industries.

They currently have offices in the U.S.A. and in the U.K.

THE CANDIDATE

You will have a minimum of three years planning / scheduling experience gained with a firm of construction consultants or a large contractor.

You will work closely with the Regional Director and you will get involved in assisting with:-

Forensic Analysis of construction project delays using Critical Path Methodology (CPM) schedule analysis and research of relevant construction project documentation.

This role will also involve interaction with clients and construction project personnel so good communication skills are essential.

You will need to have the ability to draw clear, concise conclusions and be able to communicate these conclusions to a high standard, both verbally and in writing.

You should be keen to address the challenges of a growing business whilst at the same time, have the desire to grow and contribute to the business as a whole, getting involved in group networking events, business development etc.

Requirements and Technical skills:-

Planning, Scheduling experience for construction, engineering or similar, minimum of three years solid experience.

Background using Primavera P6 experience essential, MS Project experience preferential.

Spreadsheet Analysis: knowledge of MS Excel and functions such as V-lookup, Match, @Indirect, Sum product, Search, Find, Pivot tables etc.

You should have a Degree in Engineering / Construction.

You must have good analytical and problem solving skills.

It is essential that you have a U.S.A. driving licence and also a U.S.A. Green Card.

You must be willing to travel occasionally to project locations in the US.

My client offers a negotiable salary in the region of US$60,000 to US$75000 per annum and there will be excellent opportunities for the right person to gain rapid promotion.
