Salary / Rate: £40000 to £50000 per annum + bonus etc.
This is an excellent opportunity for a PROJECT MANAGER who is keen to join a firm of construction consultants based in their City of London office with visits to site, client, consultants offices as required.
Your background should be in construction consultants or a Developers with initial training in quantity surveying, building surveying or construction project management etc. and you will have gained at least three years or more project management experience with four years or more in the construction industry.
Projects will include offices, hotels, residential and distribution centres.
My client is a dynamic and successful firm of construction consultants who have a broad base of clients in the private and public sectors with an office in London but working on projects across the South East with an occasional overeas project too.
They provide clients mainly in the private sector with cost management (quantity surveying) and project management services.
They are working on a good range of projects including industrial, residential, mixed use, commercial offices, hotels etc.
My client is now seeking a Project Manager to join them in their City of London office. You will also need to have the ability to travel between offices, site and clients across the UK.
You will need to have a Degree or Diploma in a Construction /Built Environment subject and will be either approaching MRICS / MAPM qualified or have recently become chartered.
You will need to have experience of working for another firm of consultants or for a develper or main contractor and will ideally have front end project management experience plus be able to deal with the project through to project delivery.
You will need to have excellent organisation and client facing skills along with being highly computer literate.
You should be able to work on your own or as part of a team.
You must be able to run your own projects on a small scale or work with a Senior PM or Associate on larger projects, representing the client, offering advice to project manage the design and construction teams from initial concept through to final handover.
Experience to do the preparation of client’s brief including project programme, detailed project budget, cash flows etc. You will draft and make presentations to management teams within various organisations.
Previous experience of working for a firm of Developers or Construction Consultants is essential.
My client will offer excellent on-going training as required and you will report to an Associate, Senior PM or a Partner.
Salary for this role is in the region of £40000 to around £50000 per annum + APC support if required, project related bonus and more.
