I am now seeking a SENIOR or PRINCIPAL FLOOD RISK SPECIALIST to join a large firm of consultants in Sheffield
You will be Degree qualified and either Chartered or almost chartered with experience of working with the Environment Agency, a large developers or local authority doing flood risk.
Experience of hydraulic modelling of rivers, sewers and coastal processes etc.
My client is a large multi disciplinary firm of consulting engineers and project managers with offices across the U.K.
They have clients in the private and public sectors.
You will have a Degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering or similar and be either already Chartered or almost chartered.
You must have good experience of doing flood risk analysis and be able to work closely with a team of engineers and flood risk specialists.
You should have gained experience of doing hydraulic modelling of rivers, sewers or coastal process and Flood Estimation Handbook hydrological analysis methods, including the Statistical Analysis method, ReFH and using FEH CD-ROM V3 and WinFAP V3.
You should have worked on flood risk for both urban and rural areas.
You will be responsible for technical quality of work carried out by the team and you will supervise projects, review and check works and lead on technical matters.
You will need to have experience in the use of TuFlow, ISIS or InfoWorks ICM, hydraullic modelling packages and relevant software e.g. SMS, MapInfo, ArcGIS or QGIS.
Experience of doing QA reviews and audits of technical work undertaken by others.
Salary from £42000 to £50000 plus range of benefits.
