THE ROLE

This is an excellent opportunity for a SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER who is keen to join a large firm of construction consultants based in their BROMLEY, KENT office with visits to site, client, consultants offices as required.

Your background should be in construction consultants with initial training in quantity surveying, building surveying or construction project management etc. and you will have a atleast three years or more project management experience with six years or more in the construction industry.

THE CLIENT

The client is a medium to large firm of construction consultants who have a broad base of clients in the private and public sectors with four UK offices.

Yhis role will focus on projects in the education, commercial and leisure sectors.

Projects are valued from around £1.5m to around £15m or more.

THE CANDIDATE

My client is now seeking a Senior Project Manager to join them in their Bromley, Kent office.

You will need to have a Degree or Diploma in a Built Environment subject and will be MRICS / MAPM qualified.

You will be working for another firm of consultants to have front end project management experience plus be able to deal with the project through to project delivery.

You will need to have excellent organisation and client facing skills along with being highly computer literate. You will also need to have gained some experience of managing graduates and intermediate project managers as part of a team.

You must be able to run your own projects, representing the client, offering advice to project manage the design and construction teams from initial concept through to final handover.

Experience to do the preparation of client’s brief including project programme, detailed project budget, cash flows etc. You will draft and make presentations to management teams within various organisations.

You will identify and manage risk.

You will do preparation of Project Execution Plans and administer change request procedures.

You will advise on various options and administer all forms of procurement for contractors, consultants, supporing project surveys, reportsm investigations, clerk or works etc.

You will manage projects from inception to completion within agreed budgets and timescales.

You will draft and present monthly progress reports covering progress, programme, costs, design and risk and you will assist with the promotion and marketing of the company Project Management services.

Salary for this role is in the region of £50000 to around £70000 per annum + car allowance, pension, professional fees etc..
