Location: Central London
Salary / Rate: £55000 to £68000 per annum + pension, fees, health insurance etc.
This is an excellent opportunity for a SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER who is keen to join a large firm of construction consultants based in London with visits to site, client, consultants offices as required in London and surrounding areas.
Your background should be in construction consultants or a main contractors with initial training in quantity surveying, building surveying or construction project management etc. and you will have at least four years or more project management experience.
This is a large long established firm of construction consultants who have a broad base of clients in the private and public sectors with offices across the U.K. and abroad.
They are working on a good range of projects in the private and public sectors which includes large residential, commercial developments, retail shopping centres, business parks and more.
Projects are of high value generally from £25m to over £1bn and include some of the most iconic buildings currently being worked on in the U.K.
My client is now seeking at least two or more Senior Project Managers to join them in London. You will also need to have the ability to travel across the London area.
You will need to have a Degree or Diploma in a Built Environment subject and will be either MRICS / MAPM qualified or have gained good experience and be Degree qualified but not necessarily chartered and support will be given if required to become RICS / APM qualified.
Ideally you will be working for another firm of consultants or for a main contractor and will ideally have front end project management experience plus be able to deal with the project through to project delivery.
You will need to have excellent organisation and client facing skills along with being highly computer literate.
You should be able to work on your own or as part of a team.
You must be able to run your own projects, representing the client, offering advice to project manage the design and construction teams from initial concept through to final handover.
Experience to do the preparation of client’s brief including project programme, detailed project budget, cash flows etc. You will draft and make presentations to management teams within various organisations.
You will identify and manage risk.
You will do preparation of Project Execution Plans and administer change request procedures.
You will advise on various options and administer all forms of procurement for contractors, consultants, supporing project surveys, reportsm investigations, clerk or works etc.
You will manage projects from inception to completion within agreed budgets and timescales.
You will draft and present monthly progress reports covering progress, programme, costs, design and risk and you will assist with the promotion and marketing of the company Project Management services.
My client will offer excellent on-going training as required and you will report to an Associate or a Partner.
Salary for this role is in the region of £55000 to around £68000 negotiable per annum + APC support if required, pension, professional fees paid, health insurance etc.
