THE ROLE

This is an excellent opportunity for a SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER who is keen to join a successful firm of construction consultants in their NORFOLK office to run your own projects and to supervise assistants when required.

You will have the opportunity of working on higher education projects plus historic buildings, leisure, industrial and other types of projects generally valued to around £25m.

THE CLIENT

The client is a small but growing firm of construction consultants offering clients both project management and cost management (quantity surveying) services.

They work on project management and cost management across a range of sectors including higher education, historic buildings, leisure, healthcare, residential etc.

THE CANDIDATE

My client is now seeking a Senior Project Manager to work based from their Norwich office with visits for meetings, to site, consultants offices as required in the U.K.

Projects are based across the East of England plus East Midlands and some in the West Midlands.

You will need to have a Degree or Diploma in a Built Environment subject e.g. Quantity Surveying, Building Services Engineering, Civil / Structural Engineering or Construction Project Management etc.

You may also be MAPM, MRICS, MCIOB or similarly qualified.

You should have gained around eight years or more experience in Project Management in the construction industry and you will have worked for another firm of construction consultants or have worked client side.

You will need to have excellent organisation and client facing skills along with being highly computer literate.

You should be able to run your own projects valued from £1m to £25m or more and be able to supervise one or two assistant project managers.

A U.K. driving licence and your own vehicle is preferred.

You must have experience of “front end” project managmenent being able to run projects right the way through project delivery.
