I am now seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor ideally MRICS or almost qualified to join my client, a firm of PQS in their EDINBURGH office.
It is essential that you have worked for PQS firms to have experience of both pre and post contract work.
They are working on a range of high value building projects including hotels, retail and also education projects generally valued to £40m or more plus a range of utilities projects and the role will entail working on both sectors.
Our client is a successful firm of consultants offering clients quantity surveying and project management services.
They are working on a good range of projects including retail, hotels, education, utilities and more.
They have a number of UK and overseas offices.
I am now seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor with around four years or more experience having worked for a firm of private practice quantity surveyors, multi disciplinary consultants or similar.
You will need to have a Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying or similar subject and probably be chartered with the RICS or have a number of years experience with PQS firms or be almost chartered with good PQS experience.
You will need to be able to run your own projects looking after a number of projects simultaneously.
You will be involved in both Pre and Post Contract duties on a number of projects including cost planning, tendering, site valuations, cost reporting, cost management and agreement of final accounts.
You will also have the opportunity of getting involved in doing some employers agent or project management duties.
The ideal candidate will also be happy to get involved for 1 or 2 days per week on doing some utilities projects as well as working on hotels and other projects for new build and refurbishment and upgrade.
Salary is very negotiable and there will also be a car or car allowance if preferred, pension, professional fees and other benefits.
