Location: West End of London
Salary / Rate: £28000 to £40000 per annum + pension, APC support etc.
I am now seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveyor or Intermediate Quantity Surveyor at PRE APC level with at least one year or more post graduation quantity surveying / cost management experience, ideally gained with a firm of PQS.
This is a great opportunity to join a large firm of construction consultants in their central London office and to have the opportunity to work on projects including hotels, universities etc.
Support will be given to become RICS qualified.
Our client is a successful large firm of consultants offering clients quantity surveying and project management services.
They are working on a good range of generally high value projects in the private and public sectors.
My client has offices in the UK and in Europe.
You will be a PRE APC Quantity Surveyor with at least one year or more Quantity Surveying experience and you are likely to have started your diary to become RICS qualified or be keen to start your diary.
You will work as part of a their busy central London office on projects for hotels including upgrade, refurbishment and new build plus a large university project and others.
You will need to have a good Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying which is RICS accredited and have at least one year or more experience of working for a firm of PQS or multi disciplinary consultants (possibly a main contractor).
You will be involved in both Pre and Post Contract duties on a number of projects including cost planning, tendering, site valuations, cost reporting, cost management and agreement of final accounts.
You will be involved in the full project process from initial client engagement through to project delivery.
It is essential that you have excellent communication skills as you will deal directly with clients.
Salary will be very negotiable according to experience and ability plus RICS support, pension and other benefits.
