THE ROLE

I am now seeking a Building Surveyor or similar who is keen to make a move into a role doing Technical Due Diligence or who already has experience of Technical Due Diligence for my client, an international firm of construction consultants for a role based in Paris, France.

This is a great opportunity to join an established firm who are keen to grow their Due Diligence service.

You will need a couple of years as either a Building Surveyor, quantity surveyor or engineer and possibly be working towards becoming chartered or be already chartered with the RICS.

You will become involved in working closely with many financial institutions and investors on a wide variety of large buildings across many sectors.

Duties will include site visits, risk management, report writing, due diligence and client advisory services.

You will do audits of existing buildings and also technical and environmental due diligence for investors and for banks for property acquisitions.

You may also have some duties doing fund monitoring.

THE CLIENT

My client is a successful firm of construction consultants with a large number of UK, EU and worldwide offices providing quantity surveying, project management, building surveying, and specialist services including technical due diligence and monitoring services for banks, financial institutions and developers.

They work on construction projects across most sectors including leisure, residential, commercial, industrial and more.

THE CANDIDATE

You will be working as a Building Surveyor or a Civil Engineer or Structural Engineer or Quantity Surveyor and have an interest in the role doing Technical Due Diligence or you may be more senior and already have experience of technical due diligence.

You will need a good eye for detail and have a good understanding of the construction process.

You will need to have a good technical understanding of buildings and good report writing skills.

You will be a good communicator and be able to deal with people at all levels.

Ideally you may be chartered with the RICS or equivalent or working towards becoming chartered.

Fluent English and good written French is essential.

Salary will be in the region of Euro 60000 to 90000 negotiable plus other benefits according to experience but at the upper end you will need significant TDD experience and be able to bring clients.
