I am now seeking an M&E Quantity Surveyor / Cost Manager to join my client in PORTLAND, OREGON, USA.
Some experience of both pre and post contract work is essential for cost estimating, cost planning etc.
You should have worked for another firm of consultant PQS or multi disciplinary construction consultants.
You will have the opportunity of working on complex and interesting projects for complex buildings and high tech industrial projects.
My client is a firm of quantity surveying consultants working in various US locations.
They are working on high value projects complex construction projects.
They offer good prospects and support for CPD.
Ideally you will have a BSc Hons, Diploma or equivalent in Quantity Surveying or Building Services Engineering and you will have around from two years or more experience of working on both mechanical and electrical engineering services as a quantity surveyor having worked for a firm of PQS or consultants.
You may be chartered with the RICS or keen to become chartered.
You must have a good overall understanding of all aspects of building services engineering costs.
Preferred experience will include both pre contract work e.g. feasibility, cost plans, cost estimating, tender documentation etc. through to post contract work to include contract administration, variations, valuations etc. although pre contract experience is more important for this role.
You may have been an MEP Engineer and moved in to quantity surveying.

Salary in the range of $70000 to $130000 per annum plus 401K, dental and medical insurance, life assurance, discretionary bonus etc.
