A great opportunity for a PRINCIPAL CIVIL ENGINEER (INFRASTRUCTURE) for Highways and Drainage projects to join a medium to large firm of engineering consultants in their Lancashire office.


Our client is a successful firm of consulting engineers working on civil and structural engineering for a range of developments plus infrastructure.

They currently have four offices in the U.K.

They offer excellent ongoing training and CPD.


You will need to have a Degree in Civil Engineering plus be a Chartered Engineer.

You will need to have experience of the preparation of fee quotations for approval by the directors.

Also experience of planning and management of civil engineering design services and related work – ensuring delivery to time and within budget.

Experience of site investigations and surveys plus report writing for pavement design.

Experience of civil engineering services including Highways to relevant council stands, drainage to sewers for adoption for 6 & 7th addition and BRE digest and CIRA design guides.

Experience of project management including the preparation of quotations for professional services and investigations, scheduling of work for delivery on time, to budget and quality.

Working knowledge of contract law, contaminated land investigation and remediation plus SUDs.

Experience of training and mentoring more junior staff.

Some experience of helping to grow the civil engineering section of the company including marketing, business development and networking.

Salary is very negotiable in the range of £40000 to £50000 per annum according to your experience plus pension, discretionary bonus and life insurance.
