THE ROLE
A successful growing firm of quantity surveyors and project managers now seeks an Assistant Quantity Surveyor / Cost Manager from a PQS background to join them in the City of London.
You will work on a good range of projects to include offices, residential, student accommodation, end user fit outs and more.
You must have at least a year or two experience working for a PQS.
This role will offer good prospects for someone keen to move up within a firm of construction consultants.
You will work on all aspects of the PQS role doing pre and post contract work.
THE COMPANY
My client is a growing firm of construction consultants providing clients with Project Management and Quantity Surveying services.
THE CANDIDATE
You will be Degree qualified in a construction related subject e.g. Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or similar.
You will have a year or two of working for a PQS firm and be working towards sitting the APC to become chartered.
You should have some experience across a range of project sectors.
You will need experience of feasibility studies, cost estimating, cost planning, cash flow forecasting, contractual advice, value engineering, contractor selection, tender documentation, along with all post contract work including valuations, variations etc.
My client is seeking someone who is working for a firm of PQS / construction consultants.
Good communication skills are essential and to have the ability to deal with people at all levels.
Salary is negotiable according to experience but in the region of £35000 to £48000 per annum depending on your experience plus other benefits including pension, RICS fees, discretionary bonus etc.
