THE ROLE

I am seeking an Associate Quantity Surveyor, MRICS qualified for a large firm of PQS to join their London office.

This is a good opportunity for a Project Surveyor to step into their first role as an Associate.

You will work on a good range of mainly residential projects to include student accommodation, build to rent schemes, later life care homes, super prime housing etc.

You should be able to run your own projects from feasibility to handover or work as part of a team on larger projects.

THE COMPANY

My client is a successful large firm of construction consultants providing Quantity Surveying / Cost Management and Project Management services across a range of sectors who work on high value and often landmark projects.

THE CANDIDATE

You will be a Project Quantity Surveyor / Cost Manager in the building construction industry who is MRICS qualified.

You will be at the stage where you feel you can step up into your first Associate level role.

You will need to be working for another firm of construction consultants (PQS) or multi disciplinary consultants in the construction industry.

You will have a BSc in Quantity Surveying or similar subject.

You must have worked as a QS on projects from feasibility through project delivery and handover.

You will need strong contract administration knowledge in particular in the use of JCT contracts along with good cost reporting skills.

You will be conversant with all pre and post contract duties.

You must have excellent English to write formal reports and documents and have a stable work record.

Good client facing skills are essential.

Salary is negotiable around £70000 to £80000 per annum according to your level of experience plus RICS fees, pension, discretionary bonus along with good prospects to move up to Associate Director level.
