THE ROLE

My client, a large dynamic firm of construction consultants and they are currently seeking an ASSOCIATE QUANTITY SURVEYOR to join them in central London to work on a range of high value building projects from inception to completion – mainly in the residential sector.

Projects include new build residential and refurbishment and conversion on very high value projects including some landmark projects.

You will carry out the full range of cost management duties throughout all stages of the projects from feasibility, acquisition, design, construction, handover etc.

You will work within a small team managing Graduates, Assistant QSs and Chartered QSs.

THE CLIENT

My client is a dynamic large firm of construction cost management and project management consultants mainly working on private sector projects with offices across the UK and abroad.

THE CANDIDATE

You will need to have a BSc or BSc Hons or Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or similar subject, ideally with an RICS accredited degree.

You should be MRICS qualified.

You will need to have a minimum of five years or more post qualification experience within the construction industry having worked for another firm of construction consultants and worked at Senior QS, Associate or similar level.

You should have an interest and experience of working on complex and high value residential projects.

You will be involved in all aspects of construction projects representing the client from feasibility, through acquisition, design, construction and handover and deal with all pre and post contract QS duties.

You will be keen to join a large firm offering good prospects to move up to Associate Director level and beyond.

You will need to have a stable work record along with excellent communication skills, both written and oral. Quantity Surveying experience gained in the UK is essential.

Salary will be in the region of £70000 to £85000 depending on your experience and there are a number of benefits including pension contribution, bonus, APC support, interest free season ticket loan etc.
