THE ROLE

I am seeking an Associate Director Project Manager to join my client, a large firm of construction consultants to be based working on projects in London. My clients’ office is in central London.

You will work on projects for the construction of large complex mixed use, residential and commercial buildings.

The initial project will be a major mixed use project in West London with a base build of over £100m.

You will work on the full run of project management duties from inception to project delivery. You will be involved in projects from project planning stage, through procurement right through project delivery to clients.

You will have a team reporting to you.

THE COMPANY

My client is a large firm of construction consultants providing project management and cost management services to private owners, occupiers, developers etc.

They have offices in the UK and abroad.

THE CANDIDATE

You will be an Associate Director Project Manager currently or an Associate Project Manager keen to step up to an Associate Director role.

You should be qualified with a BSc or MSc in Quantity Surveying, Civil / Structural Engineering, Construction Project Management, Building Surveying, Mechanical & Electrical Engineering Services or similar built environment subject and you are likely to be chartered with the RICS, MAPM or similar.

You should be working for another firm of construction consultants or possibly working client-side and the ideal candidate will have had experience both for a main contractor and for a firm of consultants.

You should have at least c. 10 years or more project management experience working on the construction of buildings of high value.

You should have excellent communication skills and be keen to head up a team.

You will need to have gained good experience of managing all aspects of project management representing “the client” and getting involved in the project from pre planning, planning and procurement stages through contract award, contract administration, engaging with the client, construction and design teams, and through the construction phase to move the project forward to a successful completion.

You should be able to supervise a small team of Project Managers.

Salary is negotiable around £80000 to £100000 per annum according to your experience plus pension, one professional fee, life assurance, medical insurance, discretionary bonus.
