THE ROLE

I am seeking a Project Manager / Employer’s Agent to join my client, a large firm of construction consultants based from their Cambridge office.

You will work on projects for the construction of large residential, education, healthcare and commercial buildings.

This is a good opportunity to join a growing office of a long established firm and to work on various construction projects from inception to completion.

If you are not already chartered with RICS / MAPM support will be provided.

THE COMPANY

My client is a large firm of construction consultants mainly providing project management and cost management services to private owners, occupiers, developers etc.

They have offices in the UK and abroad.

THE CANDIDATE

You will be a Project Manager with some Employer’s Agent experience.

You should be working for another firm of construction consultants or possibly working client-side.

You should have a Degree or Diploma ideally in Construction Project Management or similar built environment degree.

You should have at least five years or more project management experience working on the construction of a range of buildings and have worked on both pre and post contract duties.

You should have excellent communication skills and be keen to work as part of a team.

You will need to have a minimum of five years’ experience of managing all aspects of project management representing “the client” and getting involved in the project from pre planning, planning and procurement stages through contract award, contract administration, engaging with the client, construction and design teams to move the project forward to a successful completion.

You should be keen to work on projects across a number of sectors.

Salary is negotiable around £45000 to £60000 per annum plus car allowance (possibly more) plus pension, one professional fee, life assurance, discretionary bonus.
