THE ROLE

I am seeking an MEP Quantity Surveyor to join my client, a firm of PQS in the Southwark area of London.

You will work closely with the MEP Associate on a range of complex building projects. Excellent prospects on offer for the right person.

You will work on new build, refurbishment and fit out of offices, residential, data centres, retail and other projects of high value.

You should have excellent experience of mechanical and electrical engineering services working as a PQS.

This role may suit someone working for a large firm who is keen to make their mark with a smaller firm offering rapid promotion.

THE COMPANY

My client is a successful and friendly firm of construction consultants providing cost management, employers agent and MEP cost management to private and corporate clients.

THE CANDIDATE

You will be an MEP Quantity Surveyor / Cost Manager with at least three years post graduate experience working as an MEP QS, in the building construction industry.

You will need to be working for another firm of construction consultants or multi disciplinary consultants in the construction industry.

You will need to have a good understanding of all mechanical and electrical services for buildings.

You must have worked as a QS from feasibility through project delivery and handover.

You will be fully conversant with all pre and post contract duties including feasibility studies, cost planning, tender documentation and award, contract administration and all post contract duties.

You will have good overall technical knowledge of construction procedures.

You should have experience of using JCT contracts.

You must have excellent English to write formal reports and documents.

Salary is negotiable according to your experience but likely to be in the range of £55000 to £75000 per annum plus pension, fees and discretionary bonus and other benefits.
