THE ROLE

My client now seeks a CONSTRUCTION QUALITY MANAGER to be responsible for the quality control of the design and construction phases main of residential projects.

You will need to check the design information and technical requirements. Conduct site standards at all stages of construction.

You will identify non-compliance areas.

You will deal with all issues regarding quality control dealing with Project Managers, Employers Agents, contractors etc.

You will provide feedback to improve our clients’ design briefs and technical requirements.

You will help to ensure complete compliance with The Building Regulations including Part B (Fire Safety) and the requirements of the Building Safety Register plus CDM 2015.

You will deal with Third Party obligations including Rights of Light, Party Wall Awards and statutory bodies wayleaves and deal with all relevant contract documentation.

THE CLIENT

My client is an established Housing Trust in North London.

THE CANDIDATE

You will need to have excellent experience of working on site – in particular for housing / residential projects.

You will need to have any of the following:- BTEC Level 4, HNC, HND, NVQ Level 4 or higher qualification in Building / Construction discipline.

Ideally you will have membership of CIAT, CIOB, ICWCI or RICS.

You must have a minimum of 5 years recent experience in any of the following roles:-

Site Quality Manager / Finishing Foreman, Site Inspector, Clerk of Works, Architect or Building Surveyor with full inspection role.

You should have experience of technical design and procurement (RIBA stages 3 to 5) of housing.

You will need experience of auditing design and construction information prior to commencement of works on site.

You will need experience of inspecting construction projects at all stages of construction from demolition and site clearance to handover of completed projects.

Good communication skills and written English essential for reports etc.

Salary will be £47,327.54 per annum plus pension etc..
