THE ROLE
I am seeking an Associate Quantity Surveyor or Senior QS who is MRICS and ready to step up to Associate level to join a dynamic firm of PQS in the City of London area.
You will work on new build, refurbishment and fit out of offices, hotels and leisure, industrial and manufacturing, residential, student accommodation, retail and masterplanning.
Projects generally valued between £10m to £50m with some smaller and some larger.
You will run your own projects and be able to supervise and mentor others.
Great prospects to move up to Director level for the right candidate.
THE COMPANY
My client is a successful firm of construction consultants providing cost management, employers agent, MEP cost management and building surveying services to private and corporate clients.
They have two UK offices and one abroad.
THE CANDIDATE
You will be an MRICS qualified Quantity Surveyor / Cost Manager in the building construction industry.
You will need to be working for another firm of construction consultants or multi disciplinary consultants in the construction industry.
You will either be an Associate at another firm of a Senior Quantity Surveyor ready to step up to an Associate level role.
You must have worked as a QS from feasibility through project delivery and handover.
You will be fully conversant with all pre and post contract duties including feasibility studies, cost planning, tender documentation and award, contract administration and all post contract duties.
You will have good overall technical knowledge of construction procedures.
You should have experience of using JCT contracts.
You must have excellent English to write formal reports and documents.
Salary is negotiable according to your experience but likely to be in the range of £70000 to £85000 per annum plus pension, fees and discretionary bonus.
