THE ROLE
My client is seeking a Senior Project Manager to work specifically on the construction, refurbishment and fit-out of projects for hospitals.
Good knowledge and / or background in MEP Building Services Engineering is preferred.
You will work on projects for several healthcare trusts in North London and also in Hertfordshire.
Projects currently are valued from around £250K to around £40m.
THE COMPANY
My client is a well established firm of construction consultants providing project management and cost management specialising in healthcare projects.
THE CANDIDATE
You will be a Senior Project Manager, ideally have an MEP Building Services Engineering background and have experience of project managing hospital construction and refurbishment projects.
You should be able to manage the commercial teams in preparing budgets, planning and overseeing project procurement management and gaining approval for authorisations etc.
You will need to be able to analyse and review monthly progress reports and identify discrepancies and underlying trends.
You should be able to run multiple projects to bring them in on time and within budget and to the clients’ expectations.
You should have good experience of running a number of construction projects having worked either for firms of construction consultants or for public sector clients.
You should have excellent communication skills and be experienced in supervising other project managers.
You must be able to take full ownership for allocated projects and be able to maintain an overall project plan
You should also be able to use MS Office along with MS Project.
Salary in the range of £70000 to £85000 negotiable plus pension and BUPA.
