THE ROLE
A successful firm of quantity surveyors and project managers now seeks a Senior Quantity Surveyor who has experience of working for main contractors to join them in their Manchester office.
You will work on a good range of projects from small through to very large for new build, refurbishment, extensions and regeneration.
Projects include offices, hotels, data centres, science, residential, education etc.
This role will offer good prospects for someone keen to move up within a firm of construction consultants.
You will work on all aspects of the contractors QS role including managing contracts.
THE COMPANY
My client is a medium sized firm of construction consultants providing clients, developers and other contractors with Project Management and Quantity Surveying services. They have offices in London, Manchester, Ireland and the EU.
THE CANDIDATE
You will be Degree qualified in a construction related subject e.g. Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, Civil Engineering or similar.
You are likely to be either MCIOB or MRICS qualified.
You should have broad based experience across a range of project sectors.
You will need experience of all post contract and contract management duties.
My client is seeking someone who is working for a main contractor or similar.
Good communication skills are essential and to have the ability to deal with people at all levels.
You should be able to run your own projects or work as part of a team on very high value projects.
Salary is negotiable according to experience but in the region of £60000 to £80000 per annum depending on your experience plus other benefits including pension, RICS fees, discretionary bonus etc.
