THE ROLE

I am seeking a Chartered Quantity Surveyor MRICS qualified to join a firm of PQS in central London.

You will work have the opportunity to work on refurbishments and fit outs for very large commercial offices, also new build hotels and also private healthcare projects.

You should be able to run your own projects from feasibility to handover and be able to work collaboratively with clients.

My client is a busy firm of construction consultants providing Quantity Surveying / Cost Management and Project Management services for projects mainly in the South East and occasionally abroad.

My client gains a lot of repeat business by doing collaborative working and exceeding the clients’ expectations therefore fostering long term relationships.

They like to empower employees to encourage their progress within the firm.

THE CANDIDATE

You will be a Quantity Surveyor / Cost Manager in the building construction industry.

You will need to be working for another U.K. firm of construction consultants (PQS) or multi disciplinary consultants in the construction industry.

You need to be working as a Project Surveyor or slightly above this level.

You will have an MSc or BSc in Quantity Surveying and be MRICS qualified.

You must have worked as a QS on projects from feasibility through project delivery and handover.

You will need strong contract administration knowledge in particular in the use of JCT contracts along with good cost reporting skills.

You will be conversant with all pre and post contract duties.

You must have excellent English to write formal reports and documents and have a stable work record.

Salary is negotiable around £55000 to £75000 per annum according to your level of experience plus RICS fees, pension, discretionary bonus, 25 days holiday plus an extra 3 days at Christmas etc.
