THE ROLE

I am seeking a Chartered Quantity Surveyor from just chartered level (MRICS) to join a dynamic firm of PQS in the City of London area.

You will work on new build, refurbishment and fit out projects for hotels, residential, offices, student accommodation projects.

Projects generally valued between £10m to £30m with some smaller and some larger.

You will run your own projects reporting to a Senior QS or Associate depending on size of project.

THE COMPANY

My client is a successful firm of construction consultants providing project management and cost management services to private and corporate clients.

They are mainly working on London based projects however are also involved in some projects across Europe as required by clients.

THE CANDIDATE

You will be an MRICS qualified Quantity Surveyor / Cost Manager in the building construction industry.

You will need to be working for another firm of construction consultants or multi disciplinary consultants in the construction industry.

You will be from recently chartered level upwards and be able to work as a Project Surveyor running your own projects or working with a Senior QS or Associate on larger projects.

You must have worked as a QS from feasibility through project delivery and handover.

You will be fully conversant with all pre and post contract duties including feasibility studies, cost planning, tender documentation and award, contract administration and all post contract duties.

You will have good overall technical knowledge of construction procedures.

You should have experience of using JCT contracts.

You must have excellent English to write formal reports and documents.

Salary is negotiable according to your experience but likely to be in the range of £45000 to £55000 per annum plus pension, fees and discretionary bonus.
