THE ROLE
I am seeking a Senior Project Manager in the Building Construction industry who has fluent French and English to join a firm of construction consultants in Geneva, Switzerland.
You will work on projects from feasibility to project delivery and you will deal with local and international clients through to contractors on site.
The ideal candidate will have trained as a Quantity Surveyor as these projects are built to strict budgets, however candidates from a building surveying or similar background who have moved into project management will also be considered.
Projects include high value offices, hotels, healthcare projects. The initial project will be for a prestigious client for a new office in an occupied site.
THE COMPANY
My client is a successful firm of construction consultants providing clients with Project Management and Quantity Surveying services.
They are a small firm with big name clients!
THE CANDIDATE
You will be Degree or MSc qualified in Quantity Surveying, Building Surveying or similar built environment subject. You may also be MRICS, MAPM or similarly qualified.
You will need to have gained around ten years experience or more in project management and you may have started your career in quantity surveying, building surveying or similar before moving into project management.
You must have experience of running high value projects.
You will ideally have been working for a firm of building construction consultants or worked client-side.
You must have an understanding of all commercial and economic aspects of construction projects.
You will need fluent French and English (written and spoken).
Good communication skills are essential and to have the ability to deal with people at all levels.
Salary is negotiable according to experience but in the region of Swiss Francs 10000 to 12000 per month (Euro c. 9630 to 11556 per month) plus month 13 is paid and there is a discretionary bonus and other benefits.
