THE ROLE
I am seeking an experienced CONTRACTS MANAGER to take up a role as the HEAD OF CONTRACTS to join my client on site in Pakistan working on a Hydro-electric project due to run for several years yet.
You will have several people reporting to you and you will use a FIDIC contract.
There are ten packages for the projects with eight more still to do and an estimated completion date in 2026.
THE COMPANY
Our client is a firm of British / Middle East consultants who provide full commercial and contractual support to a range of clients including contractors, other consultants and clients.
THE CANDIDATE
You will be an experienced Contracts Manager able to head up the contracts department and you must have more than ten years in contracts management along with twenty years prior to that in engineering.
Ideally my client would like someone who started their career in Civil Engineering prior to moving into contracts management.
A Degree in Civil Engineering is preferred possibly with a further MSc in Construction Law or similar.
MRICS or CEng useful.
You should have gained previous experience of working in Asia or the Middle East and be able to deal with people of all nationalities.
The ideal candidate will have worked on similar heavy engineering projects as a Senior Contracts Manager.
It is essential that you have a stable work record.
You will also need to be fully vaccinated and received your Booster Jab from one of the approved companies.
Salary is from US$200000 to US$220000 per annum plus flights, medical cover and bonus. Salary slightly negotiable.
