THE ROLE

My client, a busy firm of construction consultants seeks a PROJECT MANAGER to join them in NORTHAMPTON to work on a range of projects for warehouses, logistics buildings, residential including care homes, apartments and for sports and leisure projects.

Projects include new build, fit out and refurbishment.

You will carry out the full range of project management duties throughout all stages of the projects from feasibility, acquisition, design, construction, handover etc.

You will work with a Senior or Associate project manager who will also encourage you to work towards becoming chartered with the RICS if you are not already chartered.

THE CLIENT

My client is a busy firm of construction consultants providing clients with project management, cost management and similar services. They have several UK offices.

THE CANDIDATE

You will need to have a BSc or BSc Hons or Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Building Surveying, Construction Project Management, Engineering, Architecture or another construction / built environment subject.

You are likely to have started working towards becoming RICS or similarly qualification or be already chartered.

You will need to have three years or more relevant project management experience in the building construction industry preferably gained with another firm of construction consultants or having worked client-side.

You will becoming involved in all aspects of construction projects representing the client from feasibility, through acquisition, design, construction and handover.

You will be keen to join a growing firm who have remained busy over the last couple of years.

You will need to have a stable work record along with excellent communication skills, both written and oral.

It is essential that you have a full UK driving licence along with your own transport as some sites are fairly remote.

Salary will be in the region of £40000 to £45000 depending on your experience and there are a number of benefits including matched pension contribution, one professional fee, health insurance, discretionary bonus, training to become chartered, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays etc.
