THE ROLE
I am seeking a Project Manager to join my client, a firm of construction consultants in London or any other of their UK offices.
You will need have worked on some Data Centre projects for either new build, extension, fit out etc. Experience of other types of buildings also preferred.
My client is expanding their division working on data centres so there will be plenty of opportunity for promotion.
You should have excellent experience of projects from feasibility through to handover to the client.
THE COMPANY
My client is a successful firm of construction consultants providing cost management, employers agent, project management, MEP cost management and building surveying services to private and corporate clients.
They have offices across the UK and abroad.
THE CANDIDATE
You will be a Project Manager with at least five years post graduate experience or more working as Project Manager with at least two years or more experience working on the construction / fit out / extension etc. of Data Centres.
You will need to be working for another firm of construction consultants or multi disciplinary consultants in the construction industry or for a Data Centre developer.
You should have worked on all stages of the construction of data centres from inception and feasibility through construction and handover.
You will need to have a good understanding of all mechanical and electrical services for buildings.
You will have good overall technical knowledge of construction procedures.
You should have experience of using JCT contracts.
You are likely to have a Degree in Construction Project Management, Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or similar Built Environment subject.
You must have excellent English to write formal reports and documents.
Salary is negotiable according to your experience but likely to be in the range of £75000 to £110000 per annum plus pension, fees and discretionary bonus.
The upper end of the salary will be for someone with good data centre experience.
