THE ROLE

Due to continued growth my client now seeks an Associate Designate Quantity Surveyors / Cost Manager to join their London office.

You will work on large healthcare projects including new building hospitals.

This role will offer good prospects for someone keen to move up to an Associate role in the near future.

You will work on all aspects of the PQS role doing pre and post contract work.

You should be able to deal with people at all levels and run your own projects along with helping to supervise other QSs.

THE COMPANY

My client is a large successful firm of construction consultants providing clients with Project Management and Quantity Surveying services with offices in the UK and abroad.

THE CANDIDATE

You will be Degree qualified in a construction related subject e.g. Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, Civil Engineering or similar.

You may be a Chartered Quantity Surveyor or have at least five years or more Cost Management experience gained with a firm of PQS.

You should have experience of some healthcare projects, in particular for high value new build hospitals or similar.

You will need some experience of feasibility studies, cost estimating, cost planning, cash flow forecasting, contractual advice, value engineering, contractor selection, tender documentation, along with all post contract work including valuations, variations etc.

Ideally you will have been working for a firm of building construction consultants or worked client-side.

Good communication skills are essential and to have the ability to deal with people at all levels.

You should be able to work with minimum supervision and supervise less experienced QSs as required.

Salary is negotiable according to experience but in the region of £65000 to 75000 per annum or more depending on your experience plus other benefits including pension, healthcare, bonus and other benefits.
