THE ROLE
I am seeking a Contract Senior Quantity Surveyor / Commercial Manager to join a global EPC contractor working on renewable energy projects site based in ESSEX.
You will use a range of contracts including NEC / IChemE / FIDIC depending on project.
The role will involve dealing with sub contracts and all QS duties, supporting the Project Director in all commercial matters including costs to complete site packages, maintaining accounts, record keeping, alerting the Contracts Manager for any possible claims issues etc.
You will be involved with large projects with a lot of industrial plant.
THE COMPANY
My client is a global firm operating in the renewable energy sector. They generally operate as an EPC contractor.
THE CANDIDATE
You will be a Quantity Surveyor by training and ideally be BSc in Quantity Surveying or RICS qualified with good experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor on similar large energy or process plants of high value.
Any experience of scheduling would be advantageous.
You should have a good understanding of both commercial and contract management involving some claims identification and management.
Excellent written and spoken English is essential for drafting of contractual and claim documents.
This role is a CONTRACT position and the day rate is negotiable. It could also further along be offered as a permanent role for the right person.
