THE ROLE
I am seeking a Quantity Surveyor who has two years + experience of working post degree as a Quantity Surveyor or an Estimator to join my client in New York, USA.
Please note, a current Green Card or USA E2 Visa or similar US visa is essential.
You will work on new build, refurbishment and fit out projects mainly for large financial clients and developers based in the New York area.
You may be keen to join a smallish firm where your efforts are noticed and you will receive good further training as required.
THE COMPANY
My client is a successful firm of construction consultants providing project management, project controls and cost management services mainly to public sector clients.
They have two offices, one in the USA and the other in the UK.
THE CANDIDATE
You will be a Quantity Surveyor / Cost Manager or an Estimator in the building construction industry.
You will be working for another firm of construction consultants or for a building contractors in the USA.
You will either have a Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying or in another Building Construction subject.
Ideally you will be keen to work towards becoming a Chartered Quantity Surveyor and support will be given to do this.
You will have gained some experience of Estimating or pre and post contract duties including feasibility studies, cost estimating, cost planning, tender documentation and award, contract administration and all post contract duties.
You must have a current US Green Card or a US E2 or similar visa to work which could be transferred.
You must have excellent English to write formal reports and documents.
Salary is negotiable according to your experience but likely to be in the range of US$95000 to US$100000 plus medical insurance, discretionary bonus etc.
